Yes, our products are 100% biodegradable and compostable.
2. How are HARSHU products better for the environment?

Our products are better for the environment than plastic alternatives. Unlike those products, HARSHU products decompose naturally, contributing significant reduction in environmental pollution.
3. What are HARSHU compostable products made from?

At HARSHU, our palm leaf tableware uses naturally fallen palm leaves to create beautifully unique and durable plates and bowls. Our sugarcane plates and cups use bagasse pulp to create eco-friendly tableware products. Our cornstarch cutlery uses plant waste to create alternative to single-use plastic.
4. What is Bagasse?

Sugarcane Bagasse is one of the waste products of sugarcane industry. It is a dry and pulpy residue left behind when sugarcane stalks are crushed. Normally, this stalk would go to waste, but we are giving it purpose, and the ability to re-enter nature’s cycle by making eco-friendly and biodegradable tableware products.
5. What are areca plates and bowls made from?

They are made from naturally shed and hand-gathered leaves of the areca palm tree and can be used to make biodegradable tableware.
6. Does the making of HARSHU products include cutting of trees?

HARSHU products does not need to cut trees in production as the products are made from naturally fallen areca leaves and pulp extracted from bagasse.
7. Where are your products made?

Our products are currently manufacturing in INDIA. By sourcing our products from INDIA, we support local communities and contribute to eco-friendly initiatives.
8. Are your products microwave and oven safe?

Our palm leaf products are all safe to use in microwave and oven. They can withstand 2min the microwave on high heat setting or up to 45 minutes in the oven at 300°F. Sugarcane and cornstarch products are also microwave and refrigerator safe.
9. Are HARSHU products safe for hot and cold food?

Yes, our products are safe for both hot and cold food.
10. Can HARSHU products be reused?

Our products are not dishwasher safe, however, they can be reused multiple times if utilized for dry foods.
11. How long does it take for HARSHU products to biodegrade?

When put in a compost pit, our products approximately take 30-90 days to biodegrade completely.
12. How does your tableware compare in terms of durability and strength to traditional plastics?
